Unraveling Earth's Mysteries

From Surface Shifts to Subsurface Secrets

What We Do

Science Behind Earth’s Surface and Depth

At GeoD Lab, we investigate the dynamic processes that shape the Earth's lithosphere. Our work integrates geodynamic modeling, statistical analysis, and seismic data interpretation to understand natural hazards and tectonic activity. We simulate earthquakes, landslides, and tsunamis using high-resolution physical models, analyze seismic data to forecast risks, and reveal hidden structures within the Earth’s interior. Through interdisciplinary research, we aim to advance scientific knowledge and contribute to building a safer, more resilient world.

Geodynamic Modelling

Our research models the physical processes shaping Earth's interior and surface, focusing on deformation, earthquakes, subduction zones, and landscape evolution. Using advanced numerical techniques, we link deep Earth dynamics with surface features to better understand the planet's structural evolution.

Statistical Seismology

Our research in statistical seismology focuses on modeling earthquake patterns and interactions using statistical tools like ETAS and GMPEs. We study seismic clustering, ground motion prediction, and hazard assessment to understand fault dynamics and improve earthquake forecasting and risk mitigation.

Seismic interpretations

Our seismic interpretation research uses 2D and 3D seismic data to understand subsurface geology, reconstruct basin evolution, and assess hydrocarbon potential. By integrating seismic analysis with geodynamic modelling, we link tectonic processes to basin architecture across diverse geological settings.
